The town of Margaret River is an important holiday destination on the south west coast featuring many attractions including vineyards, beaches and limestone caves. The beaches at Gnarabup, Margaret River Mouth, Redgate and Suicides and great for surfing and Gracetown and Prevally are good for swimming or fishing. Old Settlement Historical Museum is a privately owned museum featuring a model of a historic village. Berry Farm, 14 km south of Margaret River, is open to visitors every day in the berry season.

The Leeuwin-Naturaliste Caves are a system of 350 limestone caves, some of which are open to the public with guided tours. The most interesting caves are Mammoth Cave where some valuable fossils have been found and Lake Cave which has a lake reflecting delicate formations. Make a point of visiting some of the many wineries in the area for wine tastings and cellar door sales. Margaret River has become known for its art and craft galleries as well as boutique gourmet produce such as cheeses, jams, beers, freshwater crayfish, olives, chocolate and fudge. A wide range of accommodation is on offer in Margaret River and the surrounding region.
