The outback city of Kalgoorlie - Boulder is Australia's major producer of gold. It is a prosperous town full of history from the old goldmining beginnings. The Australian Prospectors and Miners Hall of Fame is an attraction which educates visitors about gold mining and conducts underground tours and gold panning demonstrations. The WA Museum, Kalgoorlie-Boulder and the School of Mines Rock and Mineral Museum are interesting places to visit. There are plenty of historic buildings and monuments to discover around the city.

Karlkurla Bush Walk is a park with 4 km of walking trails and the Kalgoorlie Arboretum also has walks where you can look for native flora and fauna. The Super-Pit Lookout at Boulder provides views over the 24-hr a day operation of an open-cut gold mine. Kanowna Belle Goldmines also has public lookouts. Book a goldrush tour or a wildflower tour.
