CORAL BAY
Gateway to Ningaloo reef…

Coral Bay is a beautiful spot for a relaxing coastal holiday. Ningaloo reef is Australia's only fringing reef with the coral starting right at the water's edge. You can see the fish and coral by snorkelling or by a ride in a coral-viewing boat. There are also diving courses on offer. Some of the tours available are whale watching and whale sharks (in season), fishing charters, manta ray tours, scenic flights and yacht cruises. You can also try a quad bike across the sand dunes.

Take a stroll along the 2 km Coral Bay Walk Way, following beside the lagoon and up to View Rock. Look for dolphins, turtles and rays in the water and kangaroos and emus in the bush. Turtles nest on the beaches between November and February and you can book a tour to see the green, loggerhead and Hawkesville turtles come ashore to lay their eggs or to see the hatchlings rushing back to the sea. There is a range of accommodation on offer from resorts to backpackers and caravan parks.
