Albany is a charming historic city with a rugged coastline, sheltered white beaches, natural attractions and unique arts and crafts. Follow the Albany Historic Town Trail and the Town Walk Heritage Trail to see all the historic buildings. Visit the Albany Old Gaol Museum and the Albany Residency Museum. A number of Albany's historical buildings are now used as museums, galleries or restaurants. Torndirrup National Park has some wonderful natural features including the Natural Bridge, The Gap, the Blowholes, the Gorge, and Newles Inlet.

Nearby Whaleworld is a museum of whaling history. Whale watching is a popular tourist activity between July and September when you can join a boat charter to see the southern right whales on their migration. Fitzgerald River National Park and West Cape Howe National Park are great areas for rock climbers and bushwalkers. Waychinicup National Park has interesting rock formations. Take a drive to the Rotary Lookout, John Barnesby Memorial Lookout and Marine Drive Lookout. There are many accommodation choices from resorts to motels to caravan parks.
