The Yarra Valley is a productive wine-producing region. The main towns are Healesville, Yarra Glen, Coldstream and Lilydale. There are numerous vineyards and wineries to visit, including Yarra Glen Vineyard, and you might like to try cycling from one to the next. Art at Linden has a gallery, tea room and a guesthouse. The Yarra Valley Dairy is a boutique cheese maker offering sales of cheeses, lunches and great views. Sugarloaf Reservoir Park is great for water sports and bushwalking.

Cumberland Scenic Reserve is worth visiting for the waterfalls and walking tracks. Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary is an excellent attraction as is the Galeena Beek Living Cultural Centre. Another interesting attraction is The Singing Gardens of C.J. Dennis near Healesville. Take a drive to Lilydale to see Lillydale Museum, Redgum Gallery and Lilydale Herb Farm.
