WILSONS PROMONTORY NP
The southern most point of Australia's mainland...

Wilsons Promontory is the most southerly point of mainland Australia and is a very popular national park for bushwalking, camping and bird watching. There are many species of native flora and fauna to be seen in the park such as koalas, grey kangaroos, emus, wombats, possums and bandicoots. The Visitors' Centre is at Tidal River where you will find accommodation and day-tripper facilities, a museum, guides for the walks and information on bush camping. There are 22 walking trails of varying lengths, some of which require an overnite stay in the park.

Some beaches in the park are accessible by road. Rock climbers and abseilers like to tackle Mount Vereker and Mount Latrobe. Some of the organised tours offered to the Park are 4 wheel drive tours, boat tours and bus tours. If you wish to make a longer holiday of your time there, stay in the caravan park at Tidal River or enquire about bush camping which must be booked in advance.
