Mount Buffalo is a winter ski resort, easily accessed from Melbourne. The slopes are mostly for beginners and intermediates with some challenging runs for advanced skiers. There are cross-country ski trails as well as the downhill runs. Ski hire is available and a ski school operates for beginners and children. Ski in - ski out accommodation is the most convenient. In summer the landscape is transformed and Mount Buffalo National Park is popular for wildflowers and bush walks. Hang gliding, abseiling and rock climbing are great activities for the adventurous.
