Victoria's southern coastline…

When in Melbourne, take a day trip to the beautiful Mornington Peninsula or a relaxing holiday on the coast. From Portsea you can take a yacht charter to cruise the waters of Port Phillip Bay. Portsea is popular for its surfing beaches and diving locations and is an elegant place to stay. Sorrento offers dolphin watching cruises and has great beaches and historic buildings. The Mornington Peninsula National Park along the southern coastline is lovely for bushwalking through the coastal landscape. You can also take a bus tour through the Park which is a haven for many species of native animals and birds.

Some tourist attractions to look for on the Peninsula are Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery, Oakbank Children's Farm, the Briars Historic Park, Manyung Gallery, Mt Eliza Regional Park and Mt Eliza Wineries. East of Dromana is Arthurs Seat Lookout which offers spectacular views. Catch the ferry across to Queenscliff to explore the Bellarine Peninsula. The Mornington Tourist Railway offers steam train rides, or you can visit TV World Media Museum and Nedlands Lavender Farm. There is a wide range of holiday accommodation from four-star resorts to apartments, cottages, B&Bs and caravan parks.
