Mallacoota is an attractive coastal holiday location popular with campers and caravanners. It is situated within the Croajingolong National Park, a wonderful wilderness region. Holidaymakers can fish at the Inlet or try ocean fishing for flathead, salmon and mulloway. Take a cruise around the waterways or hire a boat to do your own exploring. Follow the walking trails through the National Park and look for the many varieties of native orchids, wildflowers, birds and native animals. You might see Eastern Grey kangaroos, possums and tree goannas.

Birdwatchers will be impressed with the 250 different species of birds including sea eagles, lyrebirds, kingfishers, rosellas and the rare Ground Parrot. Take a drive around this beautiful region and see the lakes, freshwater creeks, mountain rivers and pristine beaches. The Double Creek Nature Trail provides a boardwalk through rainforest and mixed forest. Gabo Island features an important lighthouse and Gipsy Point is worth visiting for lunch at the pub. Mallacoota has accommodation in motels, holiday apartments, cottages, cabins and caravan parks.

Mallacoota is halfway between Sydney and Melbourne on the Princes Highway and 136 km south of Bega.
