The resort town of Daylesford is a spa centre with many mineral springs in the area. Central Springs Spa Reserve has four mineral springs where you can collect mineral water from the pumps. Nearby Hepburn Springs also has mineral water pumps and spa resorts. Jubilee Lake and Lake Daylesford are beautiful locations for picnics, fishing, boating and feeding the ducks. The Daylesford Historical Society Museum has information on the goldrush days and you should visit the Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens which have a lookout tower.

The town is known for its arts and crafts and there are local markets every Sunday. You can also visit Don Wreford Hot Glass Studio, Convent Gallery and Alpha Hall Galleria. On Sundays the Central Highlands Tourist Railway takes passengers on a return trip through the Wombat State Forest. The Tipperary Walking Track takes you through Hepburn Regional Park on a 16.7 km walk. Daylesford is a lovely place to try a luxury spa resort, a farmstay holiday, a country cottage or a guesthouse. There are also motels and caravan parks.
