KANGAROO ISLAND
Amazing destination for scuba diving…

Kangaroo Island is Australia's third largest island and is easily accessed by plane or ferry. There are three main towns on the island - American River, Kingscote and Penneshaw. At Kingscote you can visit the Hope Cottage Museum and the Cape Willoughby lighthouse. American River is a great holiday destination for fishing, swimming and boating. Penneshaw is the landing spot for the vehicular ferry and has a Folk Museum in the old school house. There are many shipwrecks in the waters around the island and experienced scuba divers love exploring some of them.

If you head to Flinders Chase National Park on the western side you will see the interesting formations of Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch as well as the Cape Borda lighthouse. Kangaroo is teeming with native wildlife and tourists will enjoy looking for sea lions, fur seals, sea eagles, ospreys, Cape Barren geese, kangaroos, wallabies, fairy penguins and black cockatoos. Tours of the island can be booked from the mainland. Accommodation is offered on the island in a good number of motels, hotels, guesthouses, B&Bs, holiday apartments, cottages, cabins, caravan parks and camping grounds.
