KADINA
Discover an old mining town!

Kadina is an old copper mining town and is the largest town on the Yorke Peninsula. There is a Kadina Heritage Trail you can follow to see all the historic sites including the Banking & Currency Museum, Wallaroo Mine, Matta House and Heritage Museum. A Cornish festival, the Kernewek Lowender Festival is held bi-annually in May, celebrating the town's connections to the Cornish miners.

Kadina is the commercial centre for the surrounding agricultural districts and is a good base for day trips to nearby areas. You can visit the Moonta Wildlife Park, the Innes National Park, or drive to the Clare wineries. The town has a caravan park and campsite, several hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts and holiday cottages.
