Beautiful Tamborine Mountain is known for its sub-tropical rainforest, mountain scenery and a host of galleries, art and craft shops and wineries. There are nine national parks in the area offering many walking trails leading to spectacular waterfalls including Cameron Falls, Cedar Creek Falls and the Witches Falls. Pay a visit to Tamborine Mountain Heritage Centre, Mt Tamborine Wildlife Sanctuary, Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens and Tamborine Mountain Distillery. Thunderbird Park is a tourist resort offering fossicking for 'thunder eggs', horseriding, bushwalking and more.

Wineries open to the public include Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard and Winery, Heritage Wines and Mount Tamborine Vineyard & Winery. Eagle Heights has an entire street full of craft shops, galleries, gift and specialty shops, cafes and coffee shops. Other art galleries, nurseries, antique, craft and gift shops will be found dotted throughout the region. The Tamborine markets are held on the second Sunday of each month and attract a huge crowd. It is a lovely romantic location for couples and honeymooners.
