The picturesque city of Redcliffe overlooks Moreton Bay and is home to 50000 residents. It has 22 km of coastline - soft, sandy beaches and rocky red headlands. Suttons Beach is the site of the start of the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race each Easter and is celebrated with the Festival of Sails. There is a Kitefest each May, the First Settlement Festival in September and What's Cooking in the Gardens in August. Pelican feeding occurs at 10am daily on Bells beach.
