PORT DOUGLAS
See the Great Barrier Reef in style!

Port Douglas has become an up-market tourist destination with many luxury resorts, golf course, marina, expensive restaurants and shops. Many day trips are on offer to various Barrier Reef destinations or Cape Tribulation and the Daintree. Visit Four Mile Beach for swimming and sunbathing or enjoy the views from Flagstaff Hill Lookout. Take a cruise up Dickson Inlet or a coach tour to Wetherby Station, a working cattle property where there is a horse show and a country-style lunch. Book a 4WD tour of the rainforest with an Aboriginal guide or take diving lessons before venturing out to the reef.

Museum lovers will enjoy Ben Cropp's Shipwreck Museum and the Port Douglas Court House Museum. Rainforest Habitat is an artificial rainforest where you can see butterflies, birds, koalas, kangaroos and crocodiles. A very popular Sunday Market is held in Anzac Park.
