MAGNETIC ISLAND

Magnetic Island has four small settlements at Horseshoe Bay, Arcadia, Nelly Bay and Picnic Bay. There are 23 spectacular beaches on the island and a beautiful coastline dotted with hoop pines. Bird watchers will love the prolific birdlife in the National Park areas which also have many well designed walking tracks. Rock wallabies and koalas are often spotted in the wild and there is a koala sanctuary.

Diving enthusiasts will love exploring the coral reefs and ship wrecks. The island has a golf course, a patrolled beach and plenty of shops and restaurants. You can hire bikes, cars and scooters to get around the island and also a bus service. The Capricorn Barge Company has a car ferry service if you wish to take your car with you. Select your accommodation from among the resorts and apartments scattered over the Island.
