The fast-growing city of Logan is Queensland's third largest city. It is home to 500 parks, including beautiful Logan Gardens. The Daisy Hill State Forest incorporates the Daisy Hill Koala Centre which is open every day to visitors. The forest has walking trails and picnic areas. The Springwood Environmental Park also has walking trails. Logan is rich in history and the best place to learn about it is at the museum in the old Kingston Butter Factory. There is also an arts and crafts shop and a theatre in the building.
The Logan Art Gallery is home to the Logan Art Collection and also has regularly changing displays by local artists and other travelling exhibitions. Mayes Cottage is a colonial house museum, open to the public Thursday to Sunday. Follow the Logan River Tinnie Trail, a self-guided heritage trail along the Logan river.
