LAMINGTON NATIONAL PARK
Explore world heritage listed subtropical rainforest!

Lamington National Park is a world heritage area of subtropical rainforest, warm temperate rainforest and nearly all Antarctic beech cool temperate rainforest. It is a sanctuary for many species of native plants, animals and birds. Travel to the Green Mountains area through Canungra and stay at O'Reilly's Rainforest Guesthouse or just go for the day. There are many walking trails to follow, both long and short, as well as the spectacular Tree Top Walkway. This is a free attraction where you can walk the suspended boardwalk above the rainforest canopy and also climb the ladder for a bird's eye view, if you dare.

Binna Burra is the other centre for bushwalking in the Park and experienced walkers like to hike the 24 km from one location to the other. Stay at Binna Burra Mountain Lodge or try camping. Walking trails at both places lead to some beautiful waterfalls and spectacular scenic lookouts. Couples will enjoy a weekend getaway staying in one of the mountain lodges, chalets or rainforest retreats dotted through the Hinterland region.
