Discover quiet, unspoilt beaches

Along the length of the Capricorn Coast of QLD are many quiet, unspoilt beach communities. Visit Agnes Waters and Town of 1770 where fishing is very popular, as well as swimming and surfing. Travel north to Lake Awoonga for great fishing. From Rockhampton, travel east to the coast to Emu Park to see the unique 'Singing Ship' which are wind whistling tubes. Rosslyn Bay is the place to embark on a ferry to Great Keppel Island. Yeppoon is a popular family holiday beach town. To the north is Byfield where you can visit Nob Creek Pottery and the Australian Craft Gallery.

Cave lovers will enjoy a tour through Mt Etna Caves and Olsen's Capricorn Caverns. There are important bat roosting sites there. Capricorn Coast National Park is inland from Yeppoon and includes Mt Jim Crow which is a challenge for experienced climbers. There are many sites for camping along the Capricorn Coast, both in the National Parks and the beach areas.
