CAPE TRIBULATION

Remote tropical rainforests by the beach...

The Cape Tribulation area is accessed via the Daintree Ferry and 4WD vehicles are recommended. The road travels through tropical rainforest and along beside glorious beaches and wonderful scenery. Coach tours and buses take tourists for day trips in to the area. At Cape Tribulation the National Parks and Wildlife Service have provided a boardwalk through the rainforest to the headland.

At the Cape Tribulation Information Centre you can join a Guided Rainforest Walk. An unusual tourist attraction is the Bat House. Take a day trip out to the Great Barrier Reef and go snorkelling to see the coral. Cape Tribulation has a Supermarket, Small General Store, Pharmacy and Cow Bay Hotel. Stay in a beautiful resort, some of which have their own restaurants, or choose a rainforest retreat, eco lodge, caravan park or camping.

Location
Cape Tribulation is north of Daintree in North Queensland. Best accessed as a overnight trip from Cairns.
