Caloundra is a favourite destination for a family beach holiday and has now become very popular with retirees. Dicky and Kings Beach are patrolled surf beaches, while Bulcock and Golden Beaches are sheltered waters. Caloundra is known as a great fishing area, as well as being popular for windsurfing, sailing, boating and kayaking. Walk or cycle around the coastline on the public paths which stretch for 2.5 km. Queensland Air Museum is located at the Caloundra Aerodrome or you might like to visit the old Lighthouse at the top of Canberra Terrace.

Those interested in Queenslands arts and crafts will enjoy the Caloundra Regional Art Gallery, Hopkins Gallery and Framing, Seaview Artists Gallery and The Caloundra Arts Centre Association. Caloundra has a fine racecourse at Corbould Park. At nearby Palmview is Aussie World and Ettamogah Pub. Book a scenic flight over the area from Caloundra Aerodrome. There is a wide range of accommodation on offer, from luxury resorts to caravan parks.

Location
Caloundra is at the southern end of the Sunshine Coast, near Bribie Island it is 91 km north of Brisbane and a common destination to visit before or after the Glass House Mountains.
