Great surfing & parklands by the beach...

Burleigh Heads is an ideal holiday destination for families. The beautiful white-sand beaches are lined with parklands and are great for surfing and swimming in the patrolled areas. The Quiksilver Pro Surf Tournament is held annually at Burleigh. Nobby Beach, to the north, has a Surf Life Saving Club, foreshore parkway and a caravan park. The nearby Burleigh Heads National Park has a number of walking trails which you can follow around the coastline and enjoy the scenic views. On the southern side of the National Park is Tallebudgera Creek, with a calm-water beach suitable for the littlies. It is also a popular fishing spot.

A little farther south is Currumbin Creek, another great fishing location. Visit Fleay's Wildlife Park to see native animals in their natural habitat. Golfers will find a great choice of golf courses in the vicinity of Burleigh Heads. There are a number of beachside cafes and restaurants for sampling the local cuisine while enjoying the views. West Burleigh has a large and comprehensive shopping complex and industrial area. Accommodation is offered in luxury beachfront high rise or low rise apartment blocks, reasonably priced units farther away from the beach, or the Burleigh Beach Tourist Park.
