Kata Tjuta / The Olgas are 36 rounded red domes within the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and covering about 35 square km. Mt. Olga is the tallest and is 200 M taller than Uluru. An entry fee is charged to enter the park. There are two walking tracks around the Olgas and it is best to walk early in the morning before it gets too hot. The Olga Gorge Walk is 2 km and the Valley of the Winds Walk is 7 km long, around several of the Olgas.

Many native birds are to be seen in the area including wedge-tailed eagles, falcons, kestrels, kites and woodswallows. You are also likely to see geckoes, skinks, goannas, dragons, legless lizards, snakes, kangaroos, wallabies and dingoes. The nearest accommodation is at Uluru where you can choose from the campground, resorts, hotels, motels or lodges.

Locations
The Olgas lie about 30 km to the north of Uluru. The closest city is Alice Springs.
