SHOALHAVEN HEADS
Great location for beach and river activities!

Shoalhaven Heads is a quiet but popular holiday destination for beach and river activities. The surf is great all year round for body and board surfing and the beaches are patrolled in season. Fishing is popular both in the river and the ocean. Many people like the challenge of walking the length of the Seven Mile Beach. On the first Sunday of each month the Shoalhaven Heads Kites Club has activities on Seven Mile Beach. Nearby towns include Nowra, Berry and Ulladulla, which is a delightful beach area.

The Booderee National Park has many beaches for swimming and surfing and there are several campsites to choose from. Explore the amazing Budawang Range and climb to the top of the Pigeon House Mountain. The historic township of Milton holds an annual Scarecrow Festival and is worth a visit for the antiques and craft shops. Seven Mile Vineyard near the town of Berry offers cellar door sales. Visit the Nowra Animal Park to see Australian native animals. Accommodation choices include motels, bed and breakfasts, backpackers, caravan parks and camping.
