Palm Beach is a beautiful upmarket suburb of Sydney on the North Shore. It is home to some of Sydney's most prominent millionaires. The golden beaches are popular with surfers, swimmers, body boarders, joggers, walkers and anglers. There is a rock pool at the southern end for safe swimming for the littlies, and surf patrols in summer. The quiet waters on the Pittwater side are ideal for sailing and windsurfing. Day trippers can enjoy several different ferry trips from the Palm Beach jetty on Pittwater.

The best fishing spots in the area are at The Ovens, Little Head, South Palm Beach and Barrenjoey Headland. Take a walk up the steep track to Barrenjoey Lighthouse for magnificent views over the isthmus and beyond. Call in to Hordern Park to see the lizard sculpture and the fine stands of cabbage tree palms after which the suburb was named. Enjoy the seaside ambience in one of the many restaurants lining the foreshore of Newport Village and Palm Beach. Have a special night or two in luxury resort accommodation or book a more modestly priced apartment, motel or holiday home.

Location
Palm Beach is on the Barrenjoey Peninsula, 40 km from the centre of Sydney.

Activities
Palm Beach is great for day trips from Sydney, ferry rides, water sports, fishing, surfing, sailboarding, beach walks and dining out.
