MT WARNING NATIONAL PARK
Come here to greet the sun!

Mt Warning is the first place on Australia's mainland to be touched by the morning sun. Adventurous walkers love to make the early morning climb to the top in time to greet the sunrise. There is a good walking trail through the rainforest but parts of it are quite steep. It is an 8.8 km round trip to the summit. The reward at the top is a 360 deg. panorama. The less energetic can take a joy-flight over Mt Warning.

Clarrie Hall Dam, south of Uki is and ideal spot for a picnic. Look for the old butter factory at Uki, now converted to an art gallery. The village of Uki is located at the foot of Mt Warning and offers lodgings in motels, guesthouse, caravan park and B&B's. Couples can enjoy a romantic getaway in a luxury mountain view retreat with spectacular views of the mountains and rainforest.
