Nature lovers will be keen to visit Rotary Park, 3 km from the city centre, to view the restored area of dry rainforest. The Richmond River Historical Society Museum will acquaint you with the early history of the Lismore area. Lismore Lake is a pretty artifical lagoon for swimming and picnicking.

Visit Nightcap National Park for a rainforest experience as you walk to Protesters Falls. Other attractions to investigate include Tucki Tucki Koala Reserve, Victoria Park Nature Reserve, Boatharbour Nature Reserve, Rocky Creek Dam, Whian Whian State Forest and Minyon Falls Flora Reserve. Lismore has a good number of hotels and motels for visitors to choose from, as well as bed and breakfasts and several caravan parks.

The city of Lismore is located 776 km north-east of Sydney, on the Far North Coast of NSW, 30 km inland.
