Jervis Bay is a natural harbour with clear blue waters and white sandy beaches. The bay is a popular location for dolphin spotting and whale watching. Diving, fishing and sailing are also popular activities for tourists. The Booderee National Park is a scenic coastal park with an abundance of native flora and fauna, especially the white-bellied sea eagle. There is a visitors' centre, boat ramps and walking trails. Camping is permitted in the park. The Booderee Botanic Gardens surround Lake McKenzie and focus on southeast Australian coastal flora, and Koori interpretation of traditional plant use.
As well as the small township of Jervis Bay, other picturesque towns and villages in the area are Currarong, Callala Beach, Callala Bay, Myola, Vincentia and Hyams Beach. The Australian Naval College, HMAS Creswell is situated at Jervis Bay and on the last Sunday of each month you can see their an extensive collection of model sailing ships. At Currarong, there is a lookout at Point Perpendicular lighthouse where you can enjoy spectacular views and some walking tracks. Jervis Bay is a great place for a family holiday in a beach cottage, bungalow, lake hut, holiday house, apartment or camping ground.
