Cowra Museums feature exhibits on the POW camp, an operating model railway and war, rail, steam and farm machinery. A major feature of the town is the beautiful Japanese Garden and Cultural Centre which displays Japanese art and crafts. Cowra hosts the annual Festival of Understanding and annual Cherry Blossom Festival. The Bellevue Hill Lookout and Fauna Reserve offers picnic facilities and a walking track through the reserve.

Inspect the heritage buildings in the town or discover the Country Music Museum, Australia's World Peace Bell, the Aboriginal murals on the pylons of the Lachlan River Bridge, Darbys Falls Observatory and Croote Cottage.
