Beautiful country town...

Bellingen is a pretty country town on the banks of the Bellinger River and a great destination for a romantic weekend getaway. The area is known for its population of artists and craftspeople and has a monthly craft market. The Old Butter Factory now features art and crafts shops specialising in leather, pottery, woodcraft, glass and country crafts. The Yellow Shed is an interesting craftworks and garden centre. Stroll the market style main street to experience the traditional general stores and historic buildings.

The Bellinger Valley Historical Museum displays an old photo collection, early forms of transportation and some aboriginal artefacts. Take a tourist drive along the Waterfall Way and discover the many hinterland waterfalls. There are a number of country guesthouses to stay in or book a cosy cottage, motel, cabin or backpacker lodge.
