BEGA
Famous dairy town!

The dairying town of Bega is a major inland centre of the NSW far south coast. The area is famous for cheese-making and the Bega Cheese Heritage Centre displays the old cheese-making techniques. The Grevillea Winery is open daily for wine tasting. Browse through the Bega Family Museum or Spiral Gallery. For spectacular scenery, visit picturesque Mimosa Rocks National Park. There are camping and picnic areas as a base for exploring the beaches, caves, lakes, rainforest areas and enjoying the birdlife and local fauna.

Biamanga National Park has rock pools for swimming. Farther north is Brogo Dam, a popular spot for canoeing and swimming. Visit the Brogo Rotolactor, open every afternoon, for an interesting display of cows being milked with the latest technology. Try a short holiday in a farm cottage at Bega, a camping experience or just a quiet weekend in a local motel.
