BARRINGTON TOPS NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy a rainforest walk…

Barrington Tops National Park is a world heritage area close enough to Sydney for a magical weekend in the rainforest. The Park has two linked plateaus, Barrington and Gloucester Tops. Gloucester Tops features Antarctic beech forests, snow gum woodlands and scenic waterfalls and you can camp at the Gloucester River Camping Area. From the town of Dungog you can access the Williams River Area where there are easy rainforest walks to pools and waterfalls. The Devils Hole Area can be accessed via the Barrington Tops Forest Road and 4WD vehicles are necessary to continue on to the Barrington Tops region.

The Allyn and Karuah Rivers are both popular for swimming and fishing. Many other activities are on offer in the region including cycling, horse riding, trail bikes, canoeing, kayaking, down hill mountain biking and guided walks. A number of local wineries have cellar door sales and there is a lavender farm, a herb farm and a goats' cheese producer. There is a Skydive adventure club at Gloucester and a white water adventure company at Barrington. Book your accommodation in a cosy cottage, cabin, wilderness retreat, mountain lodge, guesthouse or motel.
